Chapter 8 · P0 / P1 / P1 / P2

Rendering & Narrative Layer: Dialogue · Timeline · Emotion · Pacing

Handles emotional expression and time arrangement, directly affecting emotional impact and viewing rhythm.

DialoguedialogueP0

The core input for lip-sync. Rules:

RuleRequirementCompliantViolating
LengthCharacter count ≤ seconds × 3.54s 'Let's go.' (5 chars)4s 14-character long sentence
PunctuationOnly ,。!?…"Why are you here?"Contains colon / quotation marks
End of sentenceMust end with punctuation"Ready.""Ready"
MultilingualNon-Chinese target language code[en]Hello[/en]Write Hello directly

Rule of thumb: dialogue limit = shot duration (seconds) × 3.5 (Chinese standard speech ~200–220 characters/minute). Comma ≈ 0.3s pause, period ≈ 0.5s.

TimelinetimelineP1

Segmented description; each segment contains timestamp + image content + action, at least 3 segments, timestamps use relative offset T00:XX.

Example (5-second close-up):

T00:00 - medium shot, protagonist sitting by window, side light streaming in; slowly looks up, gaze toward window T00:02 - close-up transition, camera slowly pushes to face; confusion turns to determination T00:04 - close-up freeze, eye area; blinks once, pupil reflects window scene

Validation: timestamps must not overlap or jump backward. If segment N ≥ segment N+1, a timing error is flagged and regeneration is triggered.
EmotionmoodP1

Emotion keywords have strong leverage (one word ≈ a set of style parameters). Principle: concise (1–2 words), clear, no contradictions.

PacingpacingP2

Five-part description (overall / opening / middle / climax / ending), coordinated with the timeline: timeline says what happens, pacing says how time feels to the audience.

Chase scene example:

Overall: tense and rapid | Opening: sudden cut, protagonist rushes out from behind cover | Middle: rapid perspective cuts, urgency builds | Climax: pursued target is within reach, speed peaks | End: target disappears around the corner, suspense with lingering open ending
